C. R. Averett (she/her) writes commercial YA that centers ace/aro characters, from contemporary to light fantasy. She was a professional children’s book editor at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and the James Patterson Presents imprint, with an eye for critically acclaimed and award winning children’s books (found here).
In another life, she was a dancer, and now works on the production side of publishing making cool, artsy things.
When she’s not reading or writing (which is rarely), she’s probably over-analyzing movies/TV shows or playing with her pandemic-kittens (who are now adult cats, somehow).
She grew up in a town in upstate NY you’ve probably never heard of, on top of a hill you’ll probably never find. Many of the small towns in her stories are based on her hometown. And others are nothing like it at all.
