About Me
I’m a writer and an editor, so I know both sides of the publishing world. I was an editor at Hachette Book Group’s Jimmy Patterson Books and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers from 2019-2023, where I worked on bestselling children’s novels by James Patterson, such as his Max Einstein and Middle School series. I also acquired Rebecca Rode’s Tides of Mutiny (Sept. 2021) and Maeeda Kahn’s Nura and the Immortal Palace (July 2022) for the James Patterson Presents list.
At LBYR, I edited Claire M. Andrews’ Blood of Troy (Sept. 2022) and Storm of Olympus (Sept. 2023), Erika J. Kendrick’s Cookie Monsters (Jan. 2023), A.J. Sass’ Just Shy of Ordinary (Winter 2024), and Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka’s Heiress Takes All (Summer 2024), among others. I also have a master’s degree in English and creative writing, with a focus on editorial and children’s books.
I specialize in children’s fiction, ranging from middle grade to young adult, and I have experience writing and evaluating a variety of pitches. I can help you find your hook, detangle a messy synopsis, or shorten that query letter so it fits onto on page. I’m happy to help you on your publishing journey!

Praise for books I’ve worked on
Blood of Troy by Claire M. Andrews
* “Free of vanity, indifferent to the male gaze, and portrayed without objectification, Daphne’s the compelling hero of an epic closer in tone to its Homeric source than to many pop-culture iterations... A vivid, riveting sequel.” ―Kirkus, starred review
“Spectacular storytelling! Blood of Troy is an action-packed sequel that brings a new twist to a classic tale.” ―Carly Heath, author of The Reckless Kind
“Andrews’s writing and worldbuilding run closer to the Homeric epic than other retellings, while...giving women more agency.” ―SLJ
“It is hard to imagine a more compulsively readable book than Daughter of Sparta... but Andrews has outdone herself with Blood of Troy.” ―Lillie Lainoff, author of One For All
Nura and the Immortal Palace by M.T. Kahn
* “An enthralling fantasy debut exploring exploitation by those in power.” ―Kirkus, starred review
* “This high-stakes, immersive fantasy will be sure to stay with readers long after they finish it.” ―Booklist, starred review
* “A strong purchase for any fantasy collection, but especially those wanting to feature culturally diverse stories.” ―SLJ, starred review

Cookie Monsters by Erika J. Kendrick
“A tenderhearted novel…concentrating on Brooklyn’s emotional growth, [while] the positive first-person narrative sheds light on the importance of loyal friends, mental health support, and cherishing a loved one’s memory.” ―Publishers Weekly
“The fast pace and conversational tone that uses up-to-the-minute language will draw readers in. It shines [a spotlight] on mental health and the importance of community.” ―Kirkus
Tides of Mutiny by Rebecca Rode
“This book is hard to put down…it’s sure to empower female readers to follow their dreams.” ―SLJ
“A rollicking high-seas adventure threaded through with breathless romance and something to say: that a woman's place is on a pirate ship. This will keep teens reading long past curfew, as sure as it did me.” — Brianna Shrum, author of Never Never
